I've never heard of this one before, sweating is normal specially in hot occasions or intense situations, but botox as a counter for sweating?...

For the genuine readers (not spammers) of this forum botox helps stop facial sweating because it intereferes with the chemical messenger that talks between the nerve and the sweat gland. This is the same chemical messenger that talks between the nerve and your wrinkle muscles which is why botox works for both wrinkles and sweating. Pretty nifty

Hi there Cosmo-Toni,

I don't have a problem with sweat anywhere else on my body, but even in Winter I sweat on my face, so my face always looks shiny, it's horrible!

I am also a Melbourne girl, and was wondering what doctor did it for you?

Default What about acne?

You must take care with all those Botox treatments in order to not produce hormonal imbalances because acne can occur. This is what I heard.

Yet another option that physicians are exploring today is Botox injections which is already used in the treatment of excessive underarm sweating. However you have to be aware that Botox is still not approved for the treatment of any other form of hyperhidrosis and can often be very painful and costly.
Many are finding astounding success with other non-surgical methods to control facial sweating. Many all-natural remedies are now being discovered and are being used more extensively to diminish facial sweating.

Botox is a derivative of the deadly botulism toxin and is produced from the spore forming bacillus Clostridium botulinum. It is supposed to act as an inhibitor for the release of the neurotransmitter that causes sweat production.

I know that Botox is very successful for excessive sweating on other body parts, so I'm sure it will work great on the face-sweating too.
