Default Botox for hyperhidrosis - it's amazing.

Just wanted to share my experience with hyperhidrosis treatment using botox and ask a quick question.

The treatment works. Without a doubt, once you've had it done, you just feel the cost (I paid $890 USD) is nothing. It's so worth it! Initially I had my doubts... but I'm virtually dry now. I only wish I had it done earlier.

My question is is it safe for teenagers to have botox? Will it affect their nervous systems and such? My son who is 17 suffers from the same condition. My doctor says he doesn't usually treat teenagers but for 'non-cosmetic' reasons he would be happy to treat my son. So, we'll probably go ahead soon anyway. But I thought I'd check to see if anyone has any experience with this. Thank you in advance.

There's quite a few posts about how botox was first widely used in small cerebal palsy children. I'm sure a big strapping 17yo is just fine!

I have a question of my own though. I don't think my sweating is too bad but I would like to reduce it. On a really hot day sometimes I get the occassional sweat patch on my shirt.

is it really a suitable treatment for people who just want to reduce their sweating?

I would like to know this too.

My sweating is probably pretty much normal but I would like to know if this would be suitable to lessen your sweating as well.

ON a really hot day or if I have to run for the bus I can get a bit unsightly after scooting down in my high heels

Botox definitely will reduce sweating even in someone who just sweats a little excessively and doesn't make the full criteria of hyperhidrosis. Whether it's worth is? For someone with true hyperhidrosis I'm sure it is (a friend of mine has been getting the treatment since it was first introduced. It tops her personal budget ahead of everything else). For myself, I entertained the thought for about five seconds and decided to save it for my face! Hehehe...

Apparently, the big fashion houses request that the celebrities get botox done before they're lent their million dollar gowns. I guess sweat patches wouldn't showcase the designer fashion to best effect, not to mention dry-cleaning 1000 feet of beaded lace would be a nightmare! Although I'm sure for the true big stars, everyone would be too busy kissing b### to talk about botox or hyperhidrosis!

Is it legal to force someone to get botox before you can wear their gowns?

Sounds a bit draconian

Of course its possible. No one's forcing you to wear that gucci/vera wang etc etc gown to the oscars. Besides i'm sure the botox is . They probably get it done regularly to stop sweating in their armpits anyway

Who cares about legal??

Hell, I'd happily break a few laws to get my paws onto some of those dresses.
