View Full Version : Deep furrows on forehead
Hi everyone. This forum has really come alive. I first posted back in September when there was a grand total of 1 thread and 3 posts in the men's forum!
But I wanted to ask people's opinions. I've got forehead wrinkles. Not just any kind of forehead wrinkles. But deep furrows that could bog down a tractor and give the grand canyon a run for its money for deepest pit.
Should I get restylane or botox for this line. The lines is seriously so deep that I think relaxing the muscles would be analagous to throwing a bucket of dirt into a giant pit. I really can't see botox being enough for this problem. Just wanted to know if any other men had used botox or fillers for similar problems

If they are that deep it sounds like you need to fill it up with some resty!
Making a couple of muscles immobile will never flatten it out.

Repeat after me boys.
First you get botox to soften the lines and relax the muscles.
Then you get filler to smooth over the lines that are left.
First you get botox to soften ......
repeat 50 times.
Or do a search through anyone of 3 old threads!

sheesh we're really copping it from the girls in our "Guy's Corner forum."
First we get called wimps because we don't go through *****birth and then we are called stupid because we don't know how to use the search function this forum ********.
Talking about rough. Can we moderate this so only us guys can post on OUR forum.

Yes I'm sure our moderators could adjust this forum so only wimpy, stupid people can post on this forum :)
Maybe we'll make it the first forum enabled for big shiny pictures to better explain complex concepts! :)
seriously I like coming down here to see what the boys are discussing. You don't really want me to go do you?

This might be a bit out of place here since my post is totally lacking in sarcasm :)
But I found the combo of both botox and fillers worked fantastically for my frown lines.
And they were really deep too - grooved in by 20 years of working a job I should've quit after 5yrs and 3 teenage sons.
Now that I think about what my body went through (frowning for 20 years straight!) the botox and fillers stuff is really great stuff.

I really sympathise re the deep forehead furrows because I think mine are pretty bad. I was very suprised though just how relaxed the botox made them and although they are due to be redone, the generally relaxed look is great. You would never want super smooth anyway would you?

I got only botox originally for my forehead marakesh.
It softened the lines nicely but there were still 2 really deep lines I didn't like.
So they used fillers for these two lines and left the other much more mild furrows alone.
It was a really nice look. I told my Doctor my main priority was not to get a smooth shiny Bert Newton look.
End result is I'm really happy and it still looks totally natural

Funny, BN was exactly the person I was thinking about. His eyes look totally weird too.

ol' Bert looks so bad because someone's done a terrible face lift on the guy. Everything just looks so shiny and taught
