Seriously,

I loook like a complete hairy barbarian if I don't wax regularly.

How practical is it to get an all over Laser Hair remova?

Does it hurt?

Is it expensive?

HI AttilaMan. It sounds like hair removal could be suitable for you!

We get several men who request hair removal of the back, chest, buttocks, legs and arms. Generally we do one 1/2 of the body at a time. Although 80-90% of people achieve "permanent hair reduction" (defined as 90% of your hairs been permanently destroyed) the effect can be variable. Considering the cost of getting 4-6 courses of laser treatment (for teh entire lower body the costs ranges from about $600-800 for a single course) it is often best to do the lower half of the body and then start on the upper part. Plus although each "zap" of the laser only feels like been snapped by a rubber band - many patients find after the 30th or so zap the pain is getting pretty intoelrable. It gives them flashbacks of being held down by the schoolyard bully and getting flicked with a rubberband a hundred times ... or else likened to chinese water *******.

End story most of my patients like 1/2 the body at a time.

I finally took the plunge and got my back and chest done. I have to admit the pain was a bit more than I expected. But the result has been fantastic. I've only got 2 more sessions to go but I have way way less hair now!

I had it done. I'm a bodybuilder so we have to wax before every competition.

The pain of the waxing wasn't that bad. But the ingrown hairs and stubble 3 weeks later was. A seriously itchy problem.

I bit the bullet and got everything lasered. from my feet right up to my neck. It didn't hurt that much but I've been really happy with the results. There a still a few very fine hairs left but these are taken care of by a very quick waxing before a competition. It is a big improvement.

sorry to hear we've bamboozled you confused :)

The "bikini" area doesn't seem to be anymore painful than other areas.

I had it done. in my opinion its more the cumulative effect that gets you. Not so much the area. After getting my legs, back, arms etc done it only became painful at the end. Almost unbearably painful. I think its a bit like chinese water . Each individual drip isn't bad but after hundreds of them it really gets to the mind.

But in short. No the bikini area isn't that sore per say.

How much would all the 5-7 treatments cost on just the back and chest in total?

The cost varies widely.

A quick look at Kiora's website shows

hmmmmm they are really testing my arithmatic here. I've got to work out their pricing scheme

$350 + $245 for chest and back
Then the 5th session is

ummm

it works out to about $2400 for 5 sessions.

A quick look around for laser hair removal in australia seems to show that is about right or even a bit on the low side.

I've seen a lot of places charge $600 for the chest and $600 for the back per session!

That is going to be some seriously expensive laser hair removal at that rate. I would definitely shop around.
