Best way of prepping hair for Laser Hair Removal

Hi guys,

I was wondering what the best way of getting your hairs short for laser hair removal are.


I know waxing and epilady are definitely out.

Are hair removal creams ok?


Does an electric laser get the hairs short enough? Or should I use a razor to get them really close to the skin?

Hi Sam,

The shorter the better! As long as you don't pull out the entire hair.

So in order of goodiness for laser hair removal prep

1. depilatory creams
2. razor shaving
3. electric shaving

Razor worked great for me.

Though I had to get my girlfriend to do some of the hard to reach areas like the small of my back

I used a razor and that seemed to work fine. I got a really large reduction after just 2 treatments

shaving with my trusty gillette mach 3 razor did the trick.

Shaving with a razor into those hard to reach spots can be a bit tricky.

I have to admit I like using depilatory creams
