I am looking to get rid of hair on my back and also to reduce the amount of hair on my chest. I understand that complete removal hair on back needs at least 5 sittings and hair reduction on chest some 3 to 4 sittings.

I am an Indian (with a fair skin having dark and coarse body hair- so i think i'm suitable for this!) and when enquired in India, they gave me a figure of Rs30,000 (AUD 900) per session for both back and chest.

I will soon move to Melbourne on work and want to compare the rates so that i can plan this.

So can somebody please give me an idea of howmuch it costs in Melbourne for a sitting?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Kris

I got mine done at Kiora for a lot less than that.

They have since taken down their price listings off their website so you might want to give them a call to double check that

I thought Indians weren't suitable for laser hair reduction treatments.

Too dark for the laser

Kris,

First off whereever your getting your info is way wrong. You will NEVER get rid of all your back or chest hair period! No laser and no practioner can guarantee that ethically (many do run from them) and it can't be done.

Your hair grows in stages and is ALWAYS growing. Five treatments actually isn't that many and we've had men have over 30 treatments and still have hair grow back. Be it they want that ultra smooth body builder look and they have almost all blonde and super fine hair left.

Also being Indian your actually not the best candiate for alot of lasers, since your naturally dark complexed. Fair skin and dark hair is best combination. That will usually take more time to treat, because the laser settings will have to be lower so no hyerpigementation or scarring occurs.
