Restylane for Six-Pack

This is going to sound really stupid.


But is it possible for men to get restylanein places other than their face? Could I use it to add definition to my six pack?


Honestly I diet and exercise like crazy and nothing changes. I was thinking of silicone implants but I was worried about it being in there permanently and the risk of cancer.

When googling "silicone alternatives" I came across restylane. It sounds like a great thing to use. Natural product. That eventually wears off. I figure after a couple more years of training I won't need silicon anyway so it should work out well.

I don't know Bruce.

It sounds awfully expensive. Restylane costs more than $500 per millilitre! And you are going to need lots of millilitres (litres even) to fill in the lines of your six pack.

I dont' think restylane is ging to help you Bruce. You just need too much of it and its really expensive.

And don't forget in 9-12 months you will be coming back for more.

Cheaper to get surgery (liposuction etc)

I think you are right it would probably work Bruce. If you can outline the lips and give them extra definition I'm sure you could outline the lines of your muscles. I might look into it myself.

Hi Bruce.

Your idea has merit and I think there is a definite market for fillers that can be used to enhance larger areas of the body rather than just the relatively small amounts required for facial features.

However restylane or indeed any of the other cosmetic fillers meant for use around the face would be almost totally prohibitively expensive for anyone but the highest powered celebrity.

At a very rough guess to get some definition to accent your linea alba and semiluminaris around the abdomen would take 30-50mL of restylane at least. At a cost of somehere between $500 and 700 a millilitre. The effect would only last about 9 months to.

In short I would do it in a suitable patient (eg already thin - you couldn't give a 6 pack to someone with a paunch) if asked. But I think there are more cost efficient ways of doing it.
