Hi everyone,

My mum is 55 years old and she's been mentioning she would like to try botox just once. But mum is a bit uneven (aren't they all) and I do hear her rail against the cosmetic industry quite frequently. It has been so bad that I haven't told her I've been getting botox myself for the past 18 months. Which is pretty ironic since mum was the first person to mention how much more awake I was looking. I didn't have the guts to tell her it was botox.

But do people think I should refer her on to my doctor and offer to pay for her botox. I know she'll love it when she sees the results. I am afraid of one of her moods if she takes it the wrong way though.

Please I need people's opinions

If your mum has already inadvertanly, mentioned that she likes your botox then I would go for it.

She'll love it! And it will save her all that money with the quackery out there at the moment ala anti-wrinkle creams anyone

I'ld do it.

botox is the sort of thing where once you get over the stigma people just love it to death.

That's why the whole botox party thing is so popular.

I most defintiely wouldn't do it.

Surprises are just way overrated anyway. Ask first. It doesn't hurt! Just make sure you offer to pay

I think your mum would love it if you discussed it with her, told her all the advantages, told her how she inadvertantly complimented you on your botox AND offered to pay for it.

As someone said before surprises are overrated

What a great post. I just came across it.

I'm really excited at buying and introducing mum to botox for mother's day. Does anyone else like this idea?

I'm a bit unique though. Mum's my best mate and she'll try anything once.

By the way. when is mother's day. May sometime?

Buy her flowers!

Its a lot safer. If she wants botox she'll tell you. Don't surprise her!

Do you trully think buying botox will be suitable for mother's day? Aren't you worried she'll interpret it as a very expensive but slightly back-handed compliment?
