I know this is a little off-topic. But I've got a mole prominently on my face and I'ld like it removed. Can anyone recommend a good plastic surgeon. I really don't want this one to scar over. Is a Cosmetic surgeon capable of doing it?

Hi JoMol31. I can email you the addresses of several good plastic surgeons if you like. If you are at all concerned about a cosmetic result I would go to a plastic surgeon.
Cosmetic surgeon is still unregulated and basically anyone who graduates from medical school can call themselves a "Cosmetic Surgeon" from day one. Some are very very good indeed but there's no guarantee of quality and we've all seen the Current Affair articles on the dodgy ones.
A Plastic Surgeon in comparison has undergone on average 10 or so years of intense training in the hospital system before passing both a surgical primary and an exit fellowship exam. They are very good indeed and their technical skill is of the 1st rank. Otherwise they don't pass the fellowship exam! They are all experienced but in general a lot more expensive. I personally send all my patients requiring cosmetic surgery to a Plastic Surgeon.
