Help. I got botox from a plastic surgeons office five days ago. The actual injection was done by a nurse.
5 days later my right eye feels really sleepy. And its hard to put on my mascara. Is this from the botox? Is it the droopy eyelid I've read about so much?
The eylid isn't really that droopy. I can onyl really see it when I look up close. Am I just been hyperparanoid or is it really the botox?

It sounds like its the botox jamboree. I don't think you are been paranoid. Google "ptosis" and botox and you will find the answers.
You should go back and see the plastic surgeon the nurse was injecting under. Not the nurse.

Shouldn't I be asking to see the nurse who injected me. I never actually spoke to the surgeon. She is the one with all the notes. She was very experienced and did mention I might get a droopy eyelid. I think she will be the best one to see

Jamboree you should ask to speak directly to the plastic surgeon. He (or she I shouldn't be sexist!) is the one responsible. If anything bad happens he is the one you chase after. Not the nurse injecting in his name. Besides he was probably the one who trained her (or him - there I go being sexist again) so he will know what is happening.
You shouldn't be pursuing the nurse to find out what she or he did. Let the surgeon chase up the nurse and then the surgeon can explain explain what happened to your botox

You beat me to it botox queen. I would demand to speak directly to the surgeon jamboree. Good luck!

She was a very competent nurse. During our consult she did tell me that if there are any complications she can speak directly to the surgeon. And yes it is a HIM!
And my nurse is a SHE.
I guess we are all a little bit sexist but the majority of plastic surgeons are male.

There's a lot of nurse bashing going on in this thread! I thought the forum consensus was an experienced nurse can be every bit as good as a doctor at injecting. Why not pay less money and get a nurse to to it?
Afterall I got an experienced draftsman to design my house instead of an architect. He knew exactly what worked and what didn't in houses.

I thought the general consensus was nurses "could" be as good as doctors but really shouldn't inject unsupervised. Kinda like an unqualified DIY'er building a house extension.
Still can't believe nurses inject in Oz though. I've always followed these threads with interest

Definately worth returning to the practice. If it is noticable I think they can inject something else to reverse the process in that area. It means she injected too low on the eyebrow. If you do nothing, it basically has to wear off and you are looking at three months.
