I'm looking to have either Restylane or Juvederm injected to correct my tear trough area, which has always been dark and deeply creased, can anyone recommend a good practitioner in or around the Sydney CBD?
As well, can anyone give a ball park figure on the cost involved, any info would be hugely appreciated.
I'd like to hear about your experiences and results for this area with these fillers, it will be my first go at this sort of thing, so I'm trying to do as much research as possible.
Please PM me if you have any good info (or bad, actually!), I'd love to hear from you!

Tear troughs.
Love it,
Had it twice already. Can bruise though. Had a horribly black eye the second time around so make sure you have good makeup handy.
Or a ready made story about walking into doors or what not.
Check PM for recommendations!

A male point of view here.
But it makes your face look dramatically younger if you fill the tear troughs.
It is just especially good if you are male and your eyes have started sinking. It is by far the most dramatic thing I have had done to my face.

Can't comment at all about Sydney doctors.
I've had the tear troughs filled twice. I bruised horribly on one of the occassions. We are talking at least 1 week off work.
Luckily the end result was great.
My eyes looked so much fresher. I love the look. It was well worth walking around with a black eye for a week.

botox queen isn't there a risk of blindness for fillers near the eyes? I thought very few people did this because of the risk.

I am in Adelaide and was wondering who is really good in Adelaide to go to for fillers in general. I need the tear troughs filled in but also i have flattening of the cheek area and slight jowling. Can anyone help me with a practictioner prefably in Adelaide or advice on what derma filler to be looking for for the most lift.
thanks (im new)

I don't know about adelaide sally.
But melbourne isn't that far away! The forum seems to be full of recommendations about sydney and melboune and to a lesser extent perth. Poor Brisvegas and Adelaide seem to miss out.
You can make a shopping trip of it whilst you are at it! :)

:D Fantastic!
I have just heard about tear trough fillers this evening actually - I have had terrible trouble with that area of my face for many years.. being told i'm "tired" or "unwell" when in fact i'm very well rested and healthy - and just have slightly sunken troughs beneath my eyes.
I had no idea this was even possible!!! I thought i'd have to have a bleph or something.
Wondering why I looked like that when it seems everyone else doesn't have a sunken area.. trying creams.. spending HOURS with concealer (i'm in the entertainment industry.. so have to be stage ready).
This looks like a fantastic solution! i'm very excited and curious.
I realise that others may have messaged the other posters privately with some information - without asking for people to endlessly repeat themselves - i'd love any tips or info about good practitioners in Melbourne.
I'm in the CBD area.. don't mind driving at all to wherever.
How does one find out whether a practitioner is 'reputable' or experienced?!
I suppose bruising can be covered with good quality dermablend makeup if necessary.
What fillers are best?
I'll do some research on google..
Thanks! :) This is BRILLIANT! Tear troughs.. enjoy your last weeks.. as you are so out of here.

Good luck pollybean!
You could always ring around and ask the cosmetic physician or plastic surgeon or dermatologist directly.
Ask some specific, hard questions that are really hard to dodge.
1. Who does the actual injecting. The doctor or a "supervised nurse"
2. How many treatments have you done
3. How many were the patient's satisfied with
4. How many complications have you had.
Do not accept answers like. A lot of procedures. Or the doctor is very experienced. Get some hard numbers!

Hi pollybean,
this is something i'm desperately trying to find out about too! i've had dark circles under my eyes since i was a kid and am so fed up with people asking if i've been sleeping or worse still "have you got a black eye?"! I'd love to find a good tear troughing practitioner in melbourne but am unsure of where to begin or how much its likely to cost. perhaps we can swap notes if either of us finds something worth pursuing?

Thanks, that'd be great. can't wait to hear how it goes. good luck!
Fillings under the eyes aren't going to help dark circles, they only help hollowness.

He is an expert on this, as well, as injectibles.

I know this is probably getting painful for people to reply to, but could someone please forward some details on to me of a recommended clinic or surgeon in the Sydney area and how much I should expect to pay for this procedure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sus you've been a regular poster for ages. You better edit that last post quicksmart.
I think you are in for a serious banning! You better email the moderators and try to edit the post. You aussies sure are tough on spammers and what not.
There's a huge string of both regular and guest people who have been banned for recommending doctors by name or posting links.

back on topic ......
A while ago weren't quite a few posters worried that by filling in the orbits you created a flat face?
By placing filler in the orbit (above the cheekbone) it made the cheekbone flatter?
Was this a bogus worry?
