There's an interesting discussion going on in the lipodissolve forum about how to find a good surgeon for liposuction.

I was thinking I might start up a thread here and ask people about the ways they found a suitably skilled surgeon? Personal referral? Biggest ad?

I relied on word of mouth from two people where I got to see the results afterwards. Wondering what everyone else is doing or thinking of doing?

that one's easy.

I'm not thinking of going to a surgeon.

I've got plenty of friends/coworkers who've had boob jobs and so on though. I would probably just go to the surgeon who did the best job on my friend.

And some of my friends have trully amazing natural looking boob jobs

hi promo_model,

I would be careful with that approach.

One guy on the lipodissolve forum did that exact thing and got a horribly result.

He said it wiped out 10 years of hard bodybuilding work.

I look hard at their CV and complication rate. Its the only really objective way of doing it.

Of course if you find out they did Demi Moore's legs then they are probably really good.

Just don't go to Tara Reid's surgeon :)

I got a personal referral.

I was very happy with the results

I've been thinking about it for quite a while now.

I rang up hte Royal Australian College of Surgeons and asked them for a list of approved plastic surgeons.

I refuse to get a "cosmetic surgeon"

Second that!

If you're going to do it, save up and get the best plastic surgeon you can afford. My brother is a surgeon (sigh, bones, not plastic. Not that I'd want him doing implants for me anyway!) and he's got plenty of horror stories to tell!
