Hi all,
Just came back for a quick weekend to Byron. There was a spa there with huge posters of mesotherapy there. They said that their senior beauty therapists does it for 'easy' people, and a nurse comes in to do the more tricky ones :  I thought mesotherapy involves injections and drugs?? (they said they've done 200 people already and most were very happy)
Anyway just wanted to find out if it's legal/safe for non-medical people to do it before I start looking for a spa/clinic. Thanks in advance.

Hmm... I wouldn't let a none medically trained person stick needles in me! IMO just a bit too risky - no guarantee of quality. My ex-flatmate who's a doc was forever telling horror stories about the lack of uniform standards etc and how even some peri-medical people have no clue about sterile techniques. Maybe you could ask to speak with their actual patients?
I'm looking into getting some lipo-dissolve too. (those radio ads! I'm just a sucker for advertising) Just checking the lipo-dissolve prices in melbourne at the moment though.

Hi YimmyMummy,
Kiora Meical spas is also staffed by Dr Grace Lin. She has done extensive training in the USA where "lipo-dissolve" is more commonly known as mesotherapy. As a female doc she has a good eye for such things as bodysculpting and targetted "fat dissolving." If you have more questions you can contact her on Kiora's website under "contact us." She often answers e-mails at info@kiora.com.au
