This thought occurred to me.
I first got my botox done at 28. It wasn't for wrinkles though it was to shrink my cheeks. I loved it. I do get a bit embarressed when I tell people how young I am though.
I have a 22yo friend who got it done to "prevent" wrinkles. I think that might be a bit excessive. She just justified it by pointing out some of my favourite creams cost just as much and only last 5 months. The same time my botox lasts. I guess she's got a point but 22 is awefully young.
How young do people here think is too young for botox?

22 is young for botox. The previous youngest I had heard of is 25.
How does a 22 year old afford botox anyway?
Having said that I guess there isn't really any age when you are too young. According to the FAQ botox first ssaw widespread use treating 3 year olds with cerebal palsy! So I guess 22 isn't that young compared to 3. I bet the kiddies get a big bulk discount though. Apparently they use thousands of units over many years.

AFAIK the problem with cerebal palsy *****ren is all their muscles are hypercontracted. Because they are all hypercontracted they have great difficulty in moving their legs and arms.
The botox helps by relaxing the muscles that shouldn't be relaxed.

HI rollergirl thats basically correct.
About 2/3 of Cerebal Palsy patients suffer spasticity of the muscles which is basically a large increase in muscle tone (and deep tendon reflexes) that results in muscles been very difficult to move.
Botox can relax the muscles and make it much easier to move. With intensive training and physiotherapy *****ren can be taught to use their limbs much more efficiently after the spasticity is relieved

I don't think 22 is too young for botox. I'm thinking of getting it done and i'm around this age but only under my eyes. I have noticed when I look in the mirror i look very tired all day and I figure if you only get it done once a year then your still aging just slower then you normally would.
