A group of us want to buy a course of laser hair removal for our friend who's getting married at the end of the year. She's not interested in strippers...

Can anyone tell me
1. how much time we need
2. is it safe to do before a wedding? Should she start right now?
3. what can we expect to pay for maybe underarms or legs?

Thanks in advance :)

HI AmberS. Have you had a serious talk to your friend????!! What do you mean she isn't interested in strippers. Just go ahead and get her a really really cute guy.

But on the topic. I have never had any problems with IPL hair removal but I would personally probably just stay with the undearms and other can't see areas. But then I was paranoid about everything for my wedding .... so many years ago. *sigh*

In general we suggest you get no new work done in the month before you wedding. If you have had IPL hair removal and we have notes on the settings and effects of the treatment it is probably safe even a fortnight before a big event. If you are getting it for the first time it will almost definitely be ok but we don't like taking the (slim) chance that your skin might react badly. Also if you are thinking of getting any sort of light based treatment remember you should be staying completely out of the sun (no holidays to Bali/beach!) for the next fortnight and wearing SPF 30+ sunscreen at all other times.

Hi sportyspice.

I have heard people don't do laser hair removal on pregnancy women. But then they won't do anything at all on pregnant women.

I've never heard of any problems with having *****ren in the future though

I've heard some problems with possible infection of the hair follicles (follicalitis) but never anything about trouble with ***** bearing..

I had to be a bit more careful about laser hair removal because I'm diabetic and particularly sensitive to horrible skin infections.

I'm still deciding on whether it is suitable for that reason.

In terms of having *****ren. I've never read anything about it being a concern.

sorry I can't really help you out with perth saloons though
