Hi everyone. I'm 17 and my parents have given me a voucher for massage and facial for my birthday. I have heard you shouldn't get a facial the day before a big event. Is this true?

What about a chemical peel? My pores are huge.

Similar question for me. Although I have a friend's big wedding coming up. How long should I wait?

Hi Gantily. Weddings are a big thing. And even worse the photos last forever. In general we suggest you don't try anything new (even gentle facials!) the fortnight before the wedding. Its just not worth the risk.

For chemical peels generally its dependent on the depth of the peel but we usually advice anywhere from 2-4 weeks before any big events.
