Hey does anyone know if its possible to inject Botox without needles?
Kinda like those star trek hypodermic needles thingies they use.
Yes yes I know. I caught the odd episode or two with my son.
I really really hate needles though.

Heya Tanny,
I had my crow's feet done last year and they used a really tiny needle. I barely felt it. I too was a bit of a chicken around needles but my Doctoc showed me the needle before starting. This had two effects.
1. Almost immediately causing my to faint
2. Motivating me to see an Optometrist as I could barely see the needle
3. Reassuring me. The needle was really very tiny. Supposedly the same ones used in *****ren's diabetic needles.
Which after you think about it wasn't really that reassuring since the only thing I can remember about kid's needles is they hurt, a lot. And I had to be held down by mum, Dr Morvan and both his nurses.

Hi Tanny,
Recent evidence shows an interesting paradox. The amount of pain suffered by *****ren actually "increases" with smaller needles. That is not a type. Once you get to a certain calibre, smaller needles actually inflict more pain than the larger needles.
The theory is a smaller needle forces the injection to go in at a much higher pressure thus causing more pain.
But on to the question at hand. Hypodermic needles aren't really used much and for similar reasons to above can actually cause more pain than a traditional, well made needle. (And the quality does vary, some are sharper than others.)

My doctor uses some special premium ultra fine needles. They are specially meant for cosmetics and are great. They hurt far less than the needles he used to use. Ask around if you are funny about pain.
