Hi I've just about decided to get botox done for some of those wrinkles that shouldn't be there.
I've been reading a lot. Has anyone on the forum got experience with dysport? From my reading it sound like its growing really fast in popularity and is a bit cheaper than botox.
Is it worth finding a practitioner experienced with dysport? Will this save me some money. Is there a downside to getting dysport? Is it as good as botox?

..... will there ever be an end to the continuous stream of questions from new posters :)
Its my birthday today and I was just browsing to see if there was anything new or interesting I could try out.
I've had both dysport and botox. My doctor did both for a while. It was slightly cheaper. They seem to be fairly interchangeable but I ended up asking for botox back again. I thought it didn't last quite as long

I'm not 100% sure but I presume dysport is similar to botox?
I have never heard of it on radio, tv or read about it anywhere.
Is it a very new drug?

I think the difference is they are just different brands of the exact same thing - botulinum toxin.
A bit like the difference between panadol and panadeine

I've had both done.
The more apt analogy would be the difference between coca cola and pepsi.
They are pretty much the same but there are differences.
I guess the end result looked pretty similar but I thought the dysport didn't last quite as long. Could be psychological too I guess. I did pay slightly less for the stuff :)

Is the length of duration of your botox really that predictable heather?
I find mine usually lasts about 5 months but it can vary by 2 or so weeks.
Depending on how much stress at work I've been under recently :)
