Hi I'm hoping to buy a gift certificate for my aunt in Melbourne. Can anyone recommend the best or at least a very very good Melbourne Day Spa. I would prefer it if it was close to the eastern suburbs she lives in Kew.
It has to be good because my aunt is very very particular and she did splash out last time and take me to Vue De Monde.
Nice restaurant and I want to return the favour.

Hmm... where to start? These days I've pared right back on the facials and just go for a good basic routine and my favourite botox. I do get monthly massages and still love day spas for the pampering factor though.
In Melbourne you've got so many choices for day spas. If your aunt's in Kew you can't go past Kiora in Hawthorn. Everything is beautiful and the staff are good. I like the destination day spas scattered around the place. They're a bit far but you can make an over-night trip of it and combine it with a winery tour. For a total splash out you could try the Chinese inspired Chun day spa in the city. Warning, it's VERY pricey. Good treatments but for the price... I wasn't really blown away. Good luck with finding the right place! Your lucky aunt!

Hmmm.
I read an interesting review of Medical Day Spas in Melbourne.
Apparently there's a melbourne day spa called Calma who also does the full range of lipodissolve, botox etc etc as well as the spa sorta stuff. Only if your aunt is interested in that sorta stuff. The reviews in a recent edition of Vogue looked good.

If you are looking for a really relaxing melbourne day spa you might be best off travelling a little bit further out.
The Peninsula Hot Springs offers an amazing experience. Though its probably more of a spa retreat than a day spa.

I'm not from Melbourne.
But when I stayed at the Crown the Spa there was awesome. Not super world class but about as good as I've ever had from a hotel spa anywhere in the world.
I might leave it to some other people to talk about melbourne day spas.
If you would like to know about some Brisbane ones just email me though!

Kiora is a really nice, brand new melbourne day spa.
They are brand new. The surrounds are a bit non traditional but ultra modern. It has the largest skylight I have ever seen which makes a nice change from some of the luxurious, cozy places I have been.
The service is excellent.

I second angel_fire. If you REALLY want to relax get well outside melbourne and go to some of the spa retreats. Some of them even have overnight packqages.
Totally, absolutely, decadently fantastic!

HI bapoot.
This forum tends to be a little less heavily moderated than it was in the past.
But I think you will find posting direct referrals is looked upon pretty poorly. MOst people who tried it got a lifetime ban. If you email the moderators quickly and apologise you might salvage your account!
