Hello everyone, well I wrote about 2 weeks ago and said I had my first botox injection, I couldnt wait for the 10 days to come so I could see the full effect of the botox working., Well now its been well over 2 weeks, and I can hardly notice any difference :( It cost me $190 and I had it done in between the eyes you know those 2 little lines between the eyes, and the line are still there, and I can still frown almost as much.
I am going to make an appointment with another doctor and hope I get better results because I explained to him I didnt want to see those lines
lets hope that wont be a waste of money.

Hi Pennysou,
$190 would be extremely cheap for botox between the eyes for the frown.
I need at least 30 units to get my frown done properly and this sets me back $600.
20 units works ok but it only lasts 4 weeks for myself.
For $190 you are probably getting a quarter to a third of the botox I get. I pay quite a bit more because I go to a specialist cosmetic doctor but in the long run I think it works out cheaper. I had 1 or 2 similar experiences to yourself where I was badly underdosed and nothing happened

I agree.
$190 is either the cheapest price per unit anyone here has ever mentioned outside of Mumbai or you were terribly underdosed. This is why the botox didn't work

A couple of things spring to mind pennysou.
For $190:
1. You were underdosed
2. They injected you with water
3. You have access to the cheapest botox in the world. If thats the case tell me where it is and I'll be on a plane there tomorrow!
Could somebody help me with a good injector in Melbourne? Pretty please!!!

Hi Pennysou.
I'll chorus in with everyone and say $190 sounds very very cheap or badly underdosed to botox a frown

No problems theo!
How long before you notice the botox working? I had it done 3 days ago and nothing yet!! I know, I am probably being impatient.

hi theo in my experience the botox will have some small effect at about 3 days, most of it will kick in at 5 or 7 days and full effect will be at 2 weeks, maybe 10 days

10 days is plenty.
Full effect for me has always been at 9-10 days. If its not working by then rush back to your doctor and make them top it up fast!

I like waiting for the full fornight. I fancy there is some small improvement from the 10-14 day mark
Okay its been 16 days since my botox and its in full swing now!!!!!!!
Its great, it did take nearly 10 days to get the effect, but I love it. There is actually more movement than I thought though, buts its all good, I just cant frown, but still have movement.

movement = bad
get more botox :)
seriously. If you still have some movement you might find the botox wears off a bit faster. Maybe you could ask for a top up. Most clinics do top ups at a big discount anyway :)

How big a discount do you get on your "top ups botox_queen?"
I think I got 20% the last time my doctor had to fine tune mine
