I'm a first time poster but a long time lurker.
Can someone tell me what a brow lift is? And what is the difference between a surgical and a non-surgical brow lift?

Hi LuckyLucy!
Im not exactly sure how it works though i do know that i was injected just under the brow and it was relatively painless. (always good) it really opened up my eyes alot!! Will definately continue with it!! + crow's feet, bunnies, forehead, frown etc, etc. I loooooovve botox. So good for your overall appearance and self esteem (not that that has ever been an issue ha ha)

Wild Red Boots is correct.
Botox can be used to achieve a mild "brow lift" non-surgically.
Basically the muscles beneath the eyes are treated. This weakens the muscles below the brow so the muscles above the brow can pull more strongly (relatively).
The end result is the brow is elevated slightly. Not as marked as surgery but it does effectively open up the eyes by 1-2mm. Its one of our most popular procedures amongst younger patients, especially asian ones.

I didn't know this.
How many units does it take to cause this brow lift effect? Is it about the same as it is for crow's feet?

Yes, brow lift is a great pick-me-up. You just look so much more awake and alert! I get 5-6 units on each side and that does the trick nicely.

A brow lift can achieve a 1-2mm lift?
Does anyone know if you can get the same effect with a simple brow waxing?
Done properly a waxing always makes my eyes look much larger

True.
A top knotch brow waxing will make the eyes look larger by refining the outline of the eyes.
But for a really outstanding result you can do both botox and brow waxing to enlarge the eyes. They both work together really well.
