View Full Version : Do geek girls ever look after their appearance?

Well its another lonely saturday night with just my virtual gf on DOA: volleyball and no date ..... Again.

*sigh*

But I got thinking. Gantily was recently teasing me with thoughts of being the perfect woman. A master of obscure comic book trivia. An owner of a PS, a Nintendo Wii AND a xbox 360.

My instant proposal of marriage - sightt unseen - was sadly rejected.

But after contemplating my rash marriage proposal it got me thinking. If the 0.00001% girls who play computer games no one, not one, takes any sort of pride in their appearance.

What an odd question.

I don't think the two qualities are mutually exclusive. So-called geek girls are no worse or better than a normal girl

I don't think a love of games and a love of good dress sense are mutually exclusive.

Girls often and do like both.

I just think you need to get out a lot more bruce!

Here's a hint

less gaming and more socialising on saturday nights will help you find your "real" non digital girlfriend

I've got a friend and she used to be a huge hit at the old fashioned lan parties.

She was an ok gamer. I personally suspect she only went along because the ratio of girls to guys was like 300:1.

The one time I went along to check out the talent I noticed a lot of the girls were also made up quite nicely.

Maybe they were there because of the unbeatable odds rather than gaming purposes

Keep looking bruce-dudester!

The hot gamer chicks are out there.

Check out the website of Stevie "killcreek" case. A woman who was famous for supposedly defeating Romero in quake.

You gotta check out her website here.

Why Bruce.

Of course I look after my appearance.

Of course I'm ultra hot. The stuff a gamer's digital dreams are made of.

And the answer to your marriage proposal is still no

Well my cover of "Stuff" always has an ultra hot model with the latest techno gizmo on the front.

Surely all gamer girls look like that

All girls like looking good!

Its not like liking comic books is mutually exclusive with looking good

I agree with the majority of posters here.

There is no correlation between a girl's love of games and the attention they pay to their appearance.

I've recently got addicted to Wii Tennis and Wii Bowling but I still wake up 2 horus before work every morning so I can put on my office warpaint (mascara, lipstick et al). And tahts despite being up to 3am playing Nintendo!

Can't say I've ever noticed a correlation myself

What about girls who like playing the occassional game?

Do we have to be 30 hours a week gamers or just the occassional "help out the boyfriend on a hard level of Halo legendary hardness kinda girl?"

Why is it girls have to be categorised.

its perfectly ok and acceptable for a man to be considered all of:

Sporting Hero
*** Symbol
Smart
Star Wars fan

but a girl can only ever be considered one of the above to the exclusion of the others.

Have Paris Hilton and ilk just done us a lot of harm?

And for the record I know plenty of girls who like comics/star wars and computer games and still like looking good!
