Hmmmm. Although most of the botox posts seem to be in the general forum I thought I'ld try asking here first. I've heard its a toxin from a bacteria. Are bad allergic reactions a problem?

I heard that besides the usual swelling and soreness you get from any injection, the doses they use are so small that it won't be harmful in the least.

It is the product of a bacteria known as Clostrudium Botulinum. Procedure involves injecting purified botulinum toxin into specific muscles of the face, weakening your muscles so that they cannot pull around the underlying skin.
