I really really want my teeth as white as possible. I'm doing a bit of casual modelling so its quite important I get my teeth as white as possible.
So will teeth whitening get my teeth suitably white? Or should I just save up and splurge on a series of veneers?
I would really appreciate some advice

I was actually really happy with my teeth whitening procedure. Just 2 hours in the dental chair and my teeth came out really sparkling white.
Not as white as the promotional material mind you. But it did look natural and much whiter.
I'm really pleased.

I looked into procelain veneers myself. But after getting a quote for something over $20 000 I decided teeth whitening was plenty good enough thank you very much!
i'm quite happy with the results. My friends all noticed it straight away. But I think I'll probably save up over the next couple of years for a set of veneers. I don't regret it. I saw it as a sort of stop gap to whiten my teeth whilst waiting for my horse to win/lotto numbers come up/great uncle to croak off etc etc.

Hi Starfish,
IN any Teeth Whitening procedure its important to communicate a couple of things
1. Hollywood stars with their impossibly bright, white smiles are wel. Impossible to achieve without a cosmetic dentist going through and replacing all of the teeth involved in the smile with porcelain veneers.
2. They have photoshop to help anyway
3. If you want to retain your natural teeth than the various teeth whitening procedures will get them whiter. Will they be as white as say Tom Cruise's smile. Nope. He's almost certainly got veneers.
But if you want to retain your own natural teeth then there is no better technology to get them white. Depending on the starting shade the difference can be startling (especially if you have been abusing the coffee for years) or more subtle.
